Preparing your team for floor observation

A short checklist for reception and nursing leads before Willowpoint arrives for appointment flow or capacity observation days.

Observation days fail when staff think we are auditing their manners. A five-minute briefing the day before changes the tone: we are timing pathways and room turnover, not grading courtesy.

Share three points with reception and nursing:

  1. Observers stay outside consult rooms and will not record clinical conversation.
  2. Normal work continues; nobody needs to “perform” a clean queue.
  3. Questions about odd delays are welcome — they often explain chart outliers later.

Print a one-page escort note with our names and your operations contact. When patients ask who the quiet visitors are, a calm answer keeps the floor steady.
